Installation:

Note: Hold on to your screws! For every screw replaced, apply a little drop of Loctite to the tip of the screw.

.) Remove the black plastic engine cover by removing the 4 - 10mm screws. For the 2 under the strut bar use the 10mm wrench. The one under the strut on the right side is a bit tricky but it does come out. For the 2 near the front of the cover use the 10mm socket and driver.

.) Remove the dark 10mm bolt on the left side of the intake manifold using the 10mm wrench. This bolt is just behind where the plastic engine cover attaches, it holds down a loomed wire bracket

.) Remove the 2 - 10mm bolts holding the hood sensor bracket using the 10mm wrench. This is located on the left side near the strut assembly. Remove for access to ground wire. Note: '04s and later DO NOT have this sensor.

.) Remove the 10mm bolt holding the factory ground wire. Located right below the hood sensor bracket.

.) Open the battery cover.

.) Connect the #5 (32") wire to the rear right hole (driver side) on the intake manifold using a 10mm bolt and washer. Use the 10mm socket and driver to secure. Route the wire towards the front of the engine.

.) Connect the #4 (30") wire to the rear left hole (passenger side) on the intake manifold using a 10mm bolt and washer. Use the 10mm socket and driver to secure. Route the wire towards the front of the engine underneath hoses where necessary.

.) Place the #2 (20") wire terminal on top of the factory ground wire terminal and reconnect using the factory bolt you removed in step 4. Use the 10mm wrench to secure. Route the wire underneath the Power Steering reservoir bracket towards the left side of the engine.

.) Reconnect the hood sensor bracket using the 10mm wrench.

.) Connect the #3 (26"), #2 (20") (from chassis ground), and #1 (16") wires to the position on the left side of the intake manifold where the bolt was removed in Step 2. Use a 16mm bolt and washer. Use the 10mm socket and driver to secure.

.) Connect the #1 (16") (from left side), #5 (32") (from rear right), and #4 (30") (from rear left) wires to the front of the engine using a 16mm bolt and washer. Use the 10mm socket and driver to secure. Position wires so there is no tension.

.) Remove the nut holding the negative (-) battery terminal using the 10mm wrench. There is no need to remove the battery terminal.

.) Connect the end of the #3 (26") wire to the battery terminal. Replace nut. Use the 10mm socket and driver to secure. Note: You may pass the wire under the battery cover or through the rubber fitting to the battery compartment by punching or drilling a small hole.

.) Secure any loose wires by using zip ties wherever needed. Trim off excess zip ties.

.) Replace engine cover.

.) Enjoy the smoothness! :)

Note: The only difference in the connection points on the G35 are the two rear plenum connections:
